"Rest, Romance, Relaxation"

This circa 1950s brochure did a great job of promoting Ted Hilton's, one of the two largest resorts in town. Hilton's full roster of attractions is on fine display in this classic 50's-style brochure with its many pictures of happy vacationers at the resort and the surrounding countryside. The brochure nicely portrays a quintessential Moodus vacation. Click on the thumbnails to enlarge the illustration. Once you've checked out the brochure, click here for photos of Hilton's

The cover promises Hilton's guests "Rest, Romance, Recreation." "Let Ted Hilton be your host ..." in the beautiful Moodus countryside. "Enjoy a packaged vacation instead of just ranch life in old New England"
Proprietor Ted Hilton, "a maestro in resort operation," is featured.   Again a western theme, this time in the cowboy hat worn by the goofy sun. Canoes and canoodling, archery on the beach, and a pretty Moodus field.
"Outdoor sports, peaceful rest and wonderful food" made for a great stay. Each week a full schedule of food events kept guests happy. Dial Moodus 73 for the best in "ranch life, beach life, cruise life."
